As with many words and phrases, there are cultural differences.
In the film "Local Hero", the U.S. American, arriving in the small
Scottish village, says "we have an injured rabbit also". This
particular phrase is echoed by one of the locals because it
demonstrates the cultural difference. British English speakers never
end a sentence with "also".
