You're right: He's being unreasonable.
A few misunderstandings of the fine points of an unfamiliar program
are perfectly normal and predictable. It's ludicrous (or perhaps
just egotistical) for him to assume that his "feature list" is so
well written that it leaves no chance of misinterpretation, no room
for clarification.
If it's THAT good, he doesn't need a tech writer or even an editor--
just a literary agent!
