REPORTS TO: Vice President of Marketing
CORE FUNCTION: Develop User Documentation for Tellium products.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
1. Create new & maintain existing user documents for distribution to
Tellium customers.
2. Interface with Subject Matter Experts to obtain information.
3. Manage schedule of user documentation development.
4. Interface with external producer for document production in hard copy
and CD-rom.
KEY SKILLS:
FrameMaker, Photo/Drawing editing.. Writing ExperienceHardware/software
Format/Capabilities. Template creation and management. Indexing.
Other Capabilities:WEB experience, Help Screen,On-Line help.
Personality: Team player, Finds ways to overcome obstacles.
BACKGROUND REQUIRED:
1. 5 years technical writing of software and hardware user
documentation Must include original writing contributions
2. Telecom/Datacom experience Public network carrier customer
knowledge Familiar with documentation conventions
3. Experience with software tools to include:
FrameMaker 5.5, Corel Draw/PhotoPaint or Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, MS
Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
4. Works well under pressure. Personal commitment to delivery schedules
Willing to work extra hours to get the job done
BACKGROUND DESIRED:
1. BS Degree in electrical engineering or computer science
2. MS Degree a plus
