Hallo:
Try exporting CorelDRAW to WMF for import into MS word 97. EPS will display
as a poor quality bitmap because you are viewing the bitmap header on the
EPS file. The EPS should print file, however. Remember, bitmaps are
described pixel-by-pixel, which makes them well-suited to screen display.
Vector art, like EPS, is described by a formula and uses a low-resolution
bitmap header for on-screen display. The vector itself is infinitely
scalable (unlike the bitmaps) so resizing a vector results in no loss of
quality. Printers can interpret the vector, and so display (print) vectors
quite well.
WMFs and CDRs use bitmap headers, also.
Stay safe.
