Corel Draw 8 works fine with MS Word 97, so did Corel Draw 7...you can
copy and paste the drawing in it's native cdr format or link it. Just
make sure you Insert--Object--Word Picture--create a generous-sized
palette first, then paste the puppy in. Reproduction is faithful, and
you can resize and crop at will within the Word doc.
I've also used Aldus Freehand successfully and Micrografx Designer
successfully with MS Word 95 and 97, either to copy and paste into the
doc or link from the doc to the drawing.
