Subject:bullet lists in Excel From:Terry Freedman <etfreedman -at- EASYNET -dot- CO -dot- UK> Date:Fri, 5 Mar 1999 21:30:35 +0000
For future reference, here is how to do it:
1. Insert a suitable symbol for a bullet, in Arial or Times New Roman font,
using the Windows Accessories character map.
2. Select the symbol and press Ctrl-X.
3. Select Tools-AutoCorrect.
4. In the Replace box, type xxx.
5. In the With This box press Ctrl-V followed by a space.
Now, every time you type xxx<space> in a cell, you will get your bullet
followed by a space, after which you can enter your list item.
