If I were going to such a conference, I'd like to
see some panels or presentations on project
management--how to estimate, budget and schedule a
documentation plan for presentation to a project
manager. What are the "industry standards" on
time-to-market for documentation? 5 hours per
page? 8 hours per page? Does that number change
by industry? In my job, I'm often asked to add a
chapter at the last minute, and it would help if I
could give a project manager a realistic
assessment of how long such an addendum would
take, in terms of man-hours and resources used.
