Job Description:
Join a small, respected, and award-winning technical publications
team. Initially, you will have responsibility for updating a recently
redesigned WinHelp system with new feature information for the next
release of a nationally known, award-winning consumer product. You
will work in collaboration with the Principal Information Developer
responsible for print documentation. You will work from up-to-date
specifications, usability test results, alpha software and your own
research with developers and SQA analysts. Future assignments will
also exercise your print documentation skills.
Qualifications:
· Proven writing, editing, and research skills
· Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
· 5+ years of technical writing experience, with at least 3 years in
consumer software
· Proficiency with RoboHelp 5.5 or later
· Proven experience writing WinHelp and/or HTML Help systems for
consumer software
· Proficiency with FrameMaker and Acrobat on a Windows/PC platform
· Full specification-to-production documentation life-cycle experience
· College or University degree in Technical Writing, a related
discipline or the equivalent
. Demoshield and PhotoShop proficiency are a plus
The ideal candidate has documentation project lead experience, keeps
up with industry trends, and has experience writing localizable
documentation for both new and maturing products.
