I agree with Christina, unless you want to be even more generic and use
"setting" rather than "option." This can be helpful when providing
"required" information or information about relationships.

I would add relationship information, such as the following, as a note in
the list of steps.
Select the Orientation before selecting any Effects. The settings available
in the Effects group change based on the Orientation setting you choose.
