The Public Folders Database of Microsoft Exchange Server is an excellent
tool for collecting thoughts and ideas from the dev team. For those that
are not using Outlook, the Exchange Server supports HTTP and LDAP
interfaces. For customer support databases the Exchange Server can be
integrated with the SQL server to produce a Web KB. The Web pages are
driven from the database and SQL command language using the ISAPI and
ODBC interfaces of the IIS 4.0.
The MS KB is partly implemented on such technologies.
