TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I am looking to hire a technical writer, preferably 1-3 years of experience (although entry level
with the right background would be OK, like maybe a K-12 computer science teacher or something)
to take over responsibility for updating and enhancing the User's and Reference Guides for
our software products. This is a great position for someone who likes to learn, since our
software communicates with real-time embedded processor devices, runs on UNIX and
NT, ORACLE, and a number of other interesting ancillary technologies. Casual work environment,
fast growing startup atmosphere - would be employee # 16.
Self-starters who like to dig in and figure things out for themselves and work independently do well here.
Mid 30's to mid 40's, depending on background. Anybody know anybody?
