As a Mac user who in the past has caused problems for PC-using colleagues
when I attached PDF files to e-mail, I¹d suggest trying the following:
Ask your colleague to check the format his or her e-mail application uses
to encode attachments. If your colleague can select Apple Double, Base64,
or UUEncode--not the default Mac file encoding format--then encoding
should not be the cause of the problem.
