Senior Technical Writer
Permanent position exists in the Rt. 128 area for an experienced
technical writer. In this position you be responsible for writing and
editing online help, electronic documentation, and hardcopy user
manuals. You will work closely with the Project Leader to provide
planning and scheduling input. You will have the opportunity to plan
documentation sets and lead documentation projects. You will attend
project meetings and assist in training new writers. Three to five years
experience as a technical writer in the computer industry or related
field is required. Understanding of software systems, as well as
knowledge of MS Windows, and UNIX desirable. Experience working win a
computer software environment required; programming experience
programming is desirable. A BA/BS degree is required, an advanced degree
is a plus.
Senior Technical Writer
Permanent position exists in Rt. 495 area for an experienced Technical
Writer. In t his position you will plan, organize and develop complex
materials. You will analyze applicable technical source data to
determine appropriate delivery method(s). You will develop a
documentation plan, write descriptive data, operating procedures,
installation/maintenance information for hardware and software products.
The ability to work with engineers and lead projects is required. At
least 3 years technical writing experience required in a high technology
documentation department required. Experience with desktop publishing,
technical illustration, and technical writing principles required. A
BA/BS degree is required, an advanced degree is a plus.
Principal Technical Writer
Position exists in the 93 north area for a Principal Technical Writer.
In this position you will lead a team of writers, video editors and
multimedia programmers to produce complex user education projects. You
will provide internal consulting services to assist with the design and
development of technical informational materials. Your time will be
divided between working with developers, team members, and design and
development of materials. This position will provide you with the
opportunity to apply your experience and help direct the development of
new products. The ability to work with engineers and lead projects is
required. Experience developing schedules and project plans, designing
a variety of information delivery methods including multimedia online
help, hardcopy manuals, interactive instructional pieces, etc. is
required. 8+ years producing technical design and delivery materials
with two years of project management is required. A BA/BS degree is
required, an advanced degree is a plus.
Technical Writer
Multiple contract positions exist for experienced technical writers with
at least 3 years experience. In these positions you will design and
develop end user materials for computer hardware and software products.
Delivery methods include hardcopy, online help, and web based materials.
Some positions involve project management skills such as defining work
scope, project scheduling and developing other writers. Some offsite
work available with with occasional meetings and research onsite.
Experience writing technical materials for software and hardware
products, estimating project scope/deadlines and working with engineers
and business community is a must. A BA/BS degree is required, an
advanced degree is a plus.
