TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Several positions starting Fall 1999, as specified below [note--only the
position germane to TECHWR-L is listed here]. All positions include
responsibility for teaching composition and general education courses.
Position number 2. One one-year, full time (4/4 load) position for a
specialist in Public Relations Writing with ability to teach other
professional writing courses such as Business Writing, Technical Writing,
Scientific Writing, and/or Desktop Publishing. Assistant Professor rank for
doctorate; Instructor rank for ABD. Requirements: doctorate or ABD in English
at advanced stage of dissertation; evidence of two years? successful teaching
at college level; active scholarly agenda demonstrated by publications and
professional activity. A successful interview and on-campus teaching
demonstration will be required.
