Computerized Medical Systems, Inc. (CMSI) is the world market leader in
computerized radiation treatment planning software. Our software enables
users to download series of CT or MRI scans, then delineate tumors or
critical structures, to create 3-D patient representations. Users can
then create treatment plans by placing external radiation beams or
internal radioactive sources and calculating the resulting dose, which
is displayed as a 3-D volume within the patient. This visualization,
along with other sophisticated tools, allows users to develop treatment
plans which maximize the dose delivered to tumors while minimizing the
dose delivered to critical structures, such as the brain or spinal cord.
This exciting and evolving field requires research and application in
the areas of 3D visualization, medical image analysis, mathematical
modeling of physical interactions in matter, energy transport, advanced
calculation algorithms, and much more. Our development team is still
growing in size to meet the challenges of the scientific and medical
community. At CMS, you will have the opportunity to apply your mind and
efforts into challenging scientific problems, and see your solutions
manifest in a commercial system used to treat cancer patients.
We are looking for a technical writer to join our growing team. (This is
a full-time, on-site position.) You will work with software developers,
medical physicists, and product managers to design products and product
features. In addition, you will create the online (HTML and WinHelp)
and print (Word and FrameMaker) documentation.
We require a college degree (or relevant experience in lieu of the
degree). You must be able to work in a team environment. You must have
passion for learning new things. Knowledge of computer programming,
experience documenting software products, and experience with usability
testing are pluses. (Because of the highly specialized nature of our
product line, we do not expect that you have experience in the cancer
treatment area. You will learn what you need to know about this from
us.)
We offer competitive salaries and benefits. We offer flexible hours,
casual dress, and time and money for education and training (for things
like attending this conference).
