WINWRITERS CONFERENCE UPDATE
===============================
The eighth annual WinWriters Online Help Conference is scheduled
for March 5-9, 2000. Bookmark the Conference Web page to keep
up with all the developments: http://www.winwriters.com/ohc.htm .
As in the past, the conference will feature the latest information on
Microsoft's WinHelp/HTML Help, Sun's JavaHelp, and every other
acronym relevant to the Help community. All of this presented by
the most experienced and talented speakers, including Microsoft
MVPs. We expect to see over 1,300 of our Help authoring
colleagues join us for this first Help event of the new millenium.
A NEW VENUE
After seven great years in Seattle, the WinWriters Online Help
Conference is moving to the Town and Country Resort
(http://www.towncountry.com/) in sunny San Diego. The entire 40
acre complex is dedicated to the conference. The resort offers
great conference facilities with loads of elbow room. It also has four
pools, tennis courts, and a golf course. The Mission Valley location
is convenient to the major San Diego attractions.
NEW ORGANIZING TEAM
Another exciting new development is the addition of five noted Help
experts to the conference organization team. CHERI LOCKETT
ZUBAK of Work Write, BEN WEISNER of Weisner Associates,
FRANK ELLEY of Behind the Curtain, MARY DEATON of
KNOWware, and SCOTT BOGGAN of HelpCraft are taking
an active role in evaluating your proposals and developing the
curriculum. The complete details are on the Conference Web site: http://www.winwriters.com/ohc/pr_assoc.htm
