Hi, listfolks -

I only got 2 replies on this one - so here goes. Many Thanks to Dave Locke and
Joerg Messer:

(1)I never liked Notes. You could use a lot of folders in Outlook to get what
we got out of Notes. No big deal. Notes does have lots of power and do a lot
of things, but you have to have admin privilages and program your
applications. Nobody at my company was a Notes programmer. They hired one
just before I left, but they didn't have any applications finished before I
left. Intranets based on HTML don't have these frustrations.

Hyperwave looks like very much like an intranet and uses the same tools.
Haven't uesed it, but there does seem to be a big administrative overhead. I
got that impression just be looking at every page on their site. If a
product has an advanced administration class, then you've got complexity
coming from someplace. But, their site did look great. It's too bad that
nobody used chat, so we could see what KM is about from this vendor's
perspective.

(2) I saw your request for info on Hyperwave. Unfortunately I don't have any
experience with Hyperwave but I have looked at its predecessor, HyperG, which
was a
very nice 2nd generation hypermedia system.
