John Posada continues to misconstrue my words.
We are writers; we know (or should know) how fluid words are. Any
words can be interpreted in such a way as to be a pretext for taking
offense. I advised the reader to be responsible for their own career
and supported my advice with anecdotal evidence, something you seem to
have a problem seeing as relevant. You took offense at my words and
accused me of advocating unethical behavior.
Anyone who examines my words with an open mind will see that I clearly
and repeatedly advised the reader to maintain ethical behavior, that I
stated several times that it is *not* an option to attempt to cut the
contracting shop out.
If you cannot see that, then perhaps you are filtering my words too
heavily through your own preconceptions.
This thread has consumed more than enough of my time, not to mention
techwr-l bandwidth. The discussion is not accomplishing anything and
has ceased to have any relevance to techwr-l. I will not post on it
further. If you have problems with that, take it up with the
moderator, or find a more appropriate mailing list.
