I don't do release notes or readme.txts personally (they're done by the
engineers). However, in a number of Windows-based applications, I've also
seen readmes done in Windows Write format. (Remember that dinky little word
processor that shipped with Windows 3.x?) It makes sense - Write gives you
enough formatting flexibility to make attractive documents, and software
capable of reading .wri files is standard equipment in any Windows
installation (although Write doesn't ship with Win95/98, it has been
replaced with WordPad, which can load Write files).
