I currently work as a Training & Documentation Specialist for a telco. I
agree with the other responses - the vocabulary is complex and often
confusing but the same writing methods and styles work as well here as
elsewhere. If you have an opportunity to work for a telco - go for it! This
industry is extremely dynamic and ripe with opportunities. Anyone with good
techwriting/instructional design skills and telecom experience should not
have any problems remaining employed - at a decent salary - for some time to
come.
