DESCRIPTION:
Write telecommunications test equipment user's guides, operating manuals,
and
application notes from marketing and engineering resources for a wide range
of
telecommunications markets. Familiarity with telecommunications technology
(DS1, DS3,
SONET, ATM, WAN, LAN, etc.) is desirable.
Write and review materials for accuracy, clarity, consistency,
organization, and
conformance to existing standards. Have the ability to recommend and make
revisions
to scope, format, and content of written materials. Interact with customers
and engineers
to identify document specifications and develop project schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience, possess a
working knowledge
of FrameMaker, and/or other software packages (Microsoft Word, PageMaker,
etc.),
Adobe Acrobat. Able to edit on-line, format text and apply templates.
Must
demonstrate strong writing, editing, graphic ability and organizational
skills.
Possess strong command of grammar/spelling rules. Able to work under tight
schedules.
Excellent time management, organizational skills and communication skills.
Ability to synthesize information from interviews, specifications,
meetings, etc.
Experience conforming to style guides and editorial reviews.
