TECHNICAL WRITER
Quark, Inc., the leading developer of software for the publishing industry
worldwide, has an exciting opportunity for a technical writer with creative
flair! Working closely with our product teams, you will write and revise
user manuals; format, update, and maintain technical documentation; and
proofread and edit material to ensure quality and consistency.
You must have excellent writing skills and at least three years corporate
experience writing user manuals for print publication, and producing
tutorials and help files for customers. You must be comfortable with both
Macintosh and Windows operating systems; have demonstrated a proficiency to
quickly learn new software and technologies; and be able to work
autonomously under tight deadlines. In addition to the skills associated
with technical and editorial experience, this position requires a four-year
college degree in Journalism, English, Technical Communications, or a
related field. Experience with editorial processes (print & electronic),
bug tracking, and graphical screen shots preferred. Knowledge of
QuarkXPress strongly preferred. Client/Server network experience a plus!
