Hallo:
Is this OT?
Anyway, at home I have had a similar problem with my Gateway 2000 monitor
(built by Sony):
The monitor broadcasts on 33.44 mHz, such that it squelches-out any receiver
operating on that frequency within a range of about 20 feet.
I had one such monitor replaced by Gateway, but the second has gone that way
too. So much for meeting the "low emissions" standard, eh? My Panasonic
monitor at work causes no such ills.
Perhaps putting some high-voltage wires (30,000 Volts should be enough) on
top of the monitor will fix the issue <vbg>.
