I agree. Especially since you might not be able to produce the information
plans and other documents Hackos suggests without first reading the book.

If you spend time reading something, it's good to have something physical to
show for the time spent. Create lots of documents and cement your position.

This situation might be similar to one in which you wouldn't be able to
document an application without first reading a lengthy spec. You would
certainly bill for that, wouldn't you?
