Subject:Best books for explaining graphics? From:Randy <ghost -at- WESTNET -dot- COM> Date:Tue, 29 Jun 1999 10:18:16 -0400
Does anyone have recommendations on a really good book for explaining
the various types of graphics files and how they are typically
manipulated--compressed, resized, etc.? And a book that does this in
English? I find that most books which include parenthetical explanations
of graphics (for example, books on Word or on Acrobat) either gloss
things over or get lost in redundant, non-explanatory technical
language. I know there used to be a big, fat paperback which described
all the various graphic file types--it's probably out of date by now but
might still be useful. I just can't remember the title.
