Subject:Spanish Manual of Internet Style? From:david wisz <davidwisz -at- HOTMAIL -dot- COM> Date:Tue, 29 Jun 1999 13:56:45 PDT
Hello TechWrL-ers:
I am translating online Help pages for an academic audience from English to
Spanish. The product is an Internet-based database.
Although I have studied Spanish extensively, I am unfamiliar with Web
terminology in Spanish. I am not in contact with any Web-savvy
Spanish-speakers. I surf Spanish Web sites to expand my lexicon, but they
(like English sites) use different terms for the same thing. I do not know
which terms are "standard," professional, and sound natural.
Is there a Spanish version of the Microsoft Manual of Style? Can anyone
recommend a reference Web site for Spanish technical writers?
Thank you!
David Wisz
