Interactive Pictures Corporation is seeking an experienced Technical
Writer whose talents and skills bridge the worlds of technical writing
and product marketing. Can you look at enigmatic engineering
documentation, isolate what the consumer will want to know and turn it
into human-speak? Can you write the "need to know" with a marketing edge?
Are you prepared to help build the identity of an entire product line? If

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce software technical documentation including end-user manuals,
training materials, online help, and other supplementary user
documentation.
Work closely with graphic artists to create consistency in documentation
design and functionality.
Lead in the development of technical product training materials.
Prepare finished documentation for printing and reproduction,
identifying, selecting, and driving suppliers to produce quality
documentation and on-time delivery.
Interface with Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Relations personnel
to keep abreast of the latest product updates and technical changes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years related experience and BA/BS degree
Excellent Technical and business communications skills
Self-starter, comfortable working in fast paced environment
Experience with document publishing tools such as Frame Maker, Corel
Ventura Publisher, or QuarkXpres required
Familiarity with developing Windows and/or Macintosh online help files a
plus
Working knowledge of Windows required, working knowledge of Macintosh
appreciated
