Heretical though it may sound, I think Word has better built-in indexing
features than Frame. Frame has better index manipulation tools, but you
can't actually see the index entry without going to a separate dialog box.
The nice thing is that index entries are one of the things that convert
very well from Frame to Word and back again.

Unless it's a very complicated index, I'd say no. But I've never used
IXGEN.
