Ah geez.... I've looked this up in the GUI Guide and the Microsoft Manual of
Style, and unless I've missed it completely, it doesn't seem to have a name.
I found a reference to this thingee (technical term), but the book didn't
actually name it.
If I had to give it a name, I would probably call it "active session
pop-up".
