JOB DESCRIPTION
Start: Asap, (latest August, 2nd)
Duration: Two months (40 work days), with option for extension
Place: Inhouse job in German town near Frankfurt
Salary: 650 DEM (325 USD) per day (no extra money for accomodation & food,
travel costs can be reimbursed).
Employer: Young innovative Internet software company, world wide market
leader in field of eBusiness and Internet Shopping Software.
Type of Employment: Freelance contract.
Job content: Preparing, writing and editing user manuals (software),
supporting US writing team.
WRITER PROFILE
Language: English native speaker (German language skills a plus)
Experience: Min. 3 years as technical writer / technical communicator. BA
English and/or degree in technical writing required.
Skills: Strong editing and proofreading skills, experienced in terminology
work. Flexibility to work independently or within teams. Excellent
technical knowledge and understanding in software programming (Java/HTML),
excellent PC skills. Strong attention to detail and quality.
Tools: Hands-on experience with Adobe FrameMaker, MS Office, Adobe
Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Quadralay WebWorks, Internet tools
General: Must be proficient in interacting with software designers, able
to work under pressure with overtime requirements and adherence to a strict
schedule.
