I'm curious to know if there is a rule or simply preferences.>>
The rule is to use whatever the company uses, since a comma
may or may not be part of the company's official name. I
work with an "official" list of more than 100 FERIC member
companies, and they've expressed this preference, so that's a
good enough justification for me, in my specific context. It
also makes editorial sense in a broader context.
