The bad news is, no, you can't associate a master page with a paragraph
definition. This is an oft-requested enhancement. The good news is that your
"other option" (create each chapter as a file, create a book, etc.) is
precisely Frame's strength. Cross-references across files are handled deftly
and reliably by Frame, and you should jump at the chance to split your book
up into smaller files.

Subject: Frame-Paragraph Designer, Pagination and Defining Master Pages
Is there a way in FrameMaker 5.5 to associate a Master Page with a
Paragraph Definition?

Is my only option to create each chapter as a frame file and then create
a book when I am finished? I would rather not do this as this, like
most job, is a circular process and I often refer to other sections in
the book (total pages about 80).
