We swear by some of the tech-tav macros...Accept All Revisions, Bookmark
Special Headings, Remove Extra Spaces are all items we use quite regularly.
To be honest, we haven't actually used it for the functions you've described
below, and I certainly would never recommend relying on any shareware
product.
That said, I don't think tech-tav has actually killed anything I've been
working on, so I'd recommend it. DB.

Subject: TECH-TAV Macro Suites
We are updating several of our large documents (over 400 pages). We use
Word 97.
I'd like to hear from anyone who has used the TECH-TAV Macro Suites
(www.tech-tav.com). the authors claim that it "completely replaces the
Master Document, AutoNumbering, AutoHeadingNumbering, Insert Captions, and
Insert Cross-Reference features."
Please...no flames...no "Frame is your solution" suggestions. We must live
with Word for now.
