TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
We are working on several indexing tools for Word. It seems everything takes
longer these days than you had hoped.
Our shareware version, XErciser, will be released the beginning of October.
The code is almost complete now and we still have the help system and
install routines to do. The tool will parse existing Word XE fields and
create a dynamic editable index in a separate window. You can edit the list
directly or insert existing index entries directly into Word. I am not very
good at writing up marketing information, but there will be information on
our Web site in a week or so.
The registration price will be $89.

I read about the tool from Sageline on the ASI web site, but
I could not find it on the Sageline web site, unless you are
refering to Windexer, which appears to work on rtf files for
WinHelp (not Word files themselves). Did I miss something?
