TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I received this e-mail and as you can see it is corrupted. This happens to
about 15 to 20% of all the e-mail I receive from techwr, where even the
header information is stripped. I usually don't read them, but poked inside
a couple this evening, and read what I could of your's. So I have a question
for you. Is this message in reply to my posting on a software program for
searching for positions on the web?
And to all that saw multiple postings of my post this weekend: I can't
explained with certainty why it happened. I have, however, discovered
recently that my computer has been successfully hacked. I have purchased and
installed "AtGuard", a PC firewall, and can "see" the miscreant trying to
persistently try to back-door my system again! I've come to realize that
encrypting my drive to protect sensitive client data is obviously not
enough. There may be a lesson in this for others on the list.

(possibly free, too) for European job sites?
