We used Frame 5.5.6 to create our book file and then converted the files to
pdf using Acrobat3 . We found that the cross references and hypertext links do
not work in the pdf files if the files are in different subdirectories. When
we moved all the files into one directory and recreated the pdf files, the
links worked. (In earlier versions of Framemaker, links were maintained across
directories. )
However, we also have another book file with hundreds of help files set up in
many different subdirectories for easier file management. We do not want move
the files all into one directory.
Has anyone else ever been in this situation? Any ideas? Any workarounds?
