Subject:Strange PS printing problem From:Sybille Sterk <sybille -at- wowfabgroovy -dot- net> To:winhlp-L -at- humberc -dot- on -dot- ca Date:Thu, 07 Oct 1999 08:47:01 +0100
Dear all,
I have very odd problems with my PRN files.
I am using the Univers-Condensed font and instead of using the format bold
I am using the Univers-CondensedBold font. The files are created in Word
and I am printing to a Xerox DocuTech 135 printer, using the PRN format.
When I looked at the files in GhostView (before writing them onto CD-Rom
for the printer), most of them, except for one, looked fine. The one that
didn't seemed to partly overprint the text left and right of bold text.
However, I thought that this was down to a problem with the screen
resolution. It wasn't though.
However, I now found that in some files the bold text was randomly
distributed over the paragraph, preferably to Capital letters. This didn't
show up when I first looked at the files in GhostScript... now it does.
I am at a complete loss what's happening. I had trouble with PS files
before, but nothing like this!
Any ideas?
Sybille
