For complex systems, the level of analysis required just to standarize
terminology (a primary prerequisite to clear and concise documentation) is
often monumental. After having done such, you are just a small step away
from creating a complete (logical) data dictionary (something that NOBODY
has ever done).
So few understand this; fewer care.
