Thank you to the people who responded to my question about a single
publications department for technical and marketing publications.
Only one is in a group like this now; the difference is that it's a big
company and the group includes customer support as well as all publications,
so that a single group covers all "Customer Communications".
One person tried to get a combined department going in a large company, but
got neither approval nor disapproval and the concept died.
Three other people think it's a good idea, and one is trying to get it going
