someone asks if you know telecom, it would be a good idea to ask them what
they mean. (Case in point: at my last gig, I was asked if I knew
telecommunications. I figured that what I did know wasn't enough for where
I was applying, so I said that I only knew a little. It turned out that
what I knew was a hefty percentage of what my job required!)
