Well, having finished my last contract position, it has taken me a few days to get everything set up to officially work from home, but I'm hoping to get started soon.

I've been working on a website to help others, and hopefully draw attention to my capabilities, still under development. I had no idea how much work all this is! But it's been good to brush up on my HTML and PHP hacking skills.

I've been familiar with the basics of CSS, but am now having to get into that more deeply to develop the look and feel that I want. It's kind of fun. I've been so busy doing what I had to do, that I've not been able to advance some of my web skills.. and what I need today is a far cry from 15 years ago.

I still remember doing the first website for a university department way back when, my job title? English Scientific Typist. They used my design for over 4 years! (Until the university finally developed something for all their departments.) I had to do everything by memory back then. How times have changed...

But its fun! Once I get a bit more content on my site, I'll mention where it is, but I need to get a bit more stuff out there first...

Hey, I may even get to do my compilation of "I remember when" now that could be nice...
