We're a vibrant group of more than 3,000 technical communicators asking, answering, arguing, discovering, defending and lurking around topics that matter most to technical writers. In the midst of such lively, opinionated, supportive and entertaining professionals, the challenge of keeping it "on-topic" remains constant. TechWhirlers benefit from an open, 24/7 resource not hindered by company firewalls or website policies so when they ask a question, they're certain to get an answer.Technical Writer Email Group Archives
TECHWR-L has an extensive email discussion archives, dating back to the very first post in 1993, that can sometimes answer questions before they're ever asked on the list. We recommend that you visit them and have a look for yourself. TechWhirl's mission is to provide unmatched resources for technical writers and technical communicators on our websites. However, despite our hundreds of technical writing and technical communications articles, tech writer tips and tricks and strategy pieces sometimes there is just a question we haven't covered and that's when the email discussion group becomes the missing piece.
TechWhirlers average around 6 to 10 years of experience so there isn't much they haven't seen. We encourage you to subscribe and become a part of the TechWhirler community today. We understand if you are a little hesitant at first to post, or find that the volume of emails is somewhat overwhelming but soon, with a couple email discussion board tips and tricks like setting up a filter for all list emails you'll be in to the swing of things. Please note that your subscription to the TECHWR-L mailing list is (deliberately) separate from registration on the TechWhirl.com site.
