RE: Job Selection Dilemma-Decision Made

Thanks to all of you who have helped me make up my mind. I was leaning
towards Company B but the "fear" of the commute held me back. I think I was
more scared of the unknown and used the highway as an excuse. 

If Company B hadn't come along, I'd have gone quite happily to Company A
(partly because I intensely dislike boss at current company and just want
out). What I liked about Company B was the decisiveness of the Director to
whom I'll be reporting. I had the initial interview with one of his managers
and met the Director for all of eight minutes on Wednesday. During the
micro-meeting, he told me that he'll fire me within the first month if he
didn't like the job I was doing. I countered with, as long as he told me
what he wanted done, I'd get the job done and get it done well. I think that
set the tone for us. On Thursday afternoon, I got the call that I had the
job.

I guess I'm lucky to have a supportive partner, a wonderful babysitter, and
"ears" that I can come to when I need advice. Thanks once again for shedding
perspective on this matter.

My next question, what do you tell Company A when you've already accepted
their offer, and they're really nice people.
