Hi, all,
I thought I'd post a brief summary about what's been
going on this week with the Employment Central feature.
Thanks to your suggestions, ideas, and feedback, we've
made some improvements and fixed some glitches.
As a result of your feedback, we added four new categories
to the Profile and Job forms that will let job seekers and
hiring companies further specify their wants and needs.
With these new categories, you can now specify the following:
* Commitment Level (e.g., full-time, part-time, etc.)
* Job Type (e.g., contract, permanent, etc.)
* Work Environment (e.g., on site, off site, etc.)
* Availability [on the Profile form] (e.g., now, soon, etc.)
Also resulting from your feedback, we've changed the
presentation of URLs and email addresses so that
they appear as hyperlinks. As several of you pointed
out, this change should make accessing people and
information easier than having the text URLs and
addresses to work with.
We've also addressed a number of minor glitches
with the database that should ease the process for
adding and updating job listings and profiles. If
you encounter problems or errors while using the
database, please let us know!
Finally, we're currently working on adding specialized
search and presentation capabilities (e.g., view jobs
by state/country, view jobs posted within a specified
time period, etc.) and working on adding information
to the Help pages. We'll make these capabilities and
updated Help pages available as soon as possible.
