I know that a few people on the list do high-tech journalism, so
maybe I can get advice.
In the next two months, I'll be going to a couple of large events
(airfare and accomodation paid - that drumming sound you hear is
me tap-dancing into delirium). I'm been to trade fairs before,
but never as a writer. Anyone have any tips about how to work a
conference or trade fair that you're reporting on / looking for
stories at?
My preliminary plans are to prepare the way I would for a
business trade fair: get a list of participants and exhibitors
beforehand, and arrange as many meetings as possible before I go.
Is there anything else that I could do to make best use of my
time?
