I have taken less that I wanted (or thought I was entitled to, however
you want to see that) to get a job I wanted, but I was hungry at the
time, and it paid dividends. Sometimes you have to back up a bit to get
a running start. Can't say I liked it, but at the time I felt it was
necessary. Worked out okay, I think.
