And I do the same thing. I spent three years full time in the antiwar movement and my résumé says so. If that's going to be a problem, I, too, probably won't want to work there.
One headhunter who wasn't reading too carefully, though, sent me for an interview at a company that I didn't know was a weapons manufacturer (I knew the company in a different context and didn't know what this division did--mea culpa for that). The interview took less time than the walk down the corridor from the guard's desk. The manager and I parted on good terms, respecting each other's political persuasions and agreeing that the headhunter had missed a crucial detail.
