Re: Framemaker Auto number and TOC
Can I have the autonumbered items in my document show up in the table of
contents (generated)?
My first several attempts failed. Somehow I have to get the TOC to see the
series (autonumbering). Can this be done?
And Can I generate a list in the same way? I want to generated the list and
then import that generated LOP to a layout on an illustration of expld
views.
If you generate the TOC, then go to the reference pages (or if you use a TOC template file), you can change the building blocks that Frame uses to generate the TOC. To add a chapter number, you'd find the chapter title TOC entry, and add either the <$chapnum> or <$paranum> building block to the beginning. When you update the TOC, the number should appear. You can also define the TOC styles as numbered styles in their own right.
Check the Special menu to see what options you have for generating lists.
