I need to generate HTML and web help. Can people tell me which online help
programs work best with FrameMaker?
As I understand it, I have four options:
Forehelp Premier 2001. This option requires me to save FrameMaker files as
MIF files, and then import them into Forehelp. Does anyone have experience
with this option? Can people tell me how much "clean up" is involved? How
easy is Forehelp to use?
Robohelp. This option requires me to save FrameMaker files as RTF files, and
then import the files into Word. As I understand it, this is not an easy
process and there is a lot of "clean up" involved.
Webworks Publisher. This option lets me single source: I do not need to
re-import the files each time that there is a change to a FrameMaker file. I
understand, however, that the learning curve is fairly steep? Is the final
product as professional looking as a Forehelp or Robohelp help? Can someone
send a link(s) to an online help that was created in Webworks Publisher
Proessional edition, so that I can see a final product.
Mif2go. This option is similar to Webworks, but not as user friendly. Is
this the case?
Do I understand my options correctly? Are there other options available?
Please comment on your experience using FrameMaker and online help.
Thank you,
Steve
