Paul,
I hope you at least discussed the change a little before sending the
person off to make changes to the course. I have worked both the
writing and training gigs. I know from experience that the trainer
might not understand a tie-in fact. That tie-in fact can be the
difference in something appearing correct or incorrect.
If they understand something incorrectly, then not only will they make
a change that is incorrect, but they will pass the information on as
fact to the students. From my experiecne, students don't like to
unlearn something they learn. And once the instructor thinks that they
are correct in their thinking and that you have documented it
incorrectly, it will take a lot of effort on your part to make it
right.
